Putting people together to create new products

When I was at Symantec, then CEO, Gordon Eubanks used to say "build what you can sell" -- he railed on us so we wouldn't just try to sell what we could build. Sometimes what we thought we could sell was clouded by what we were currently building, but I got the point. I think too often this simple concept is ignored by companies.
