Announcing Roundtable Tour and Webinar Series Focused on Analyzing Social Media Trends!
Overtone, Inc. and the Association of International Product Marketing and Managers (AIPMM) announced today that they will be partnering to co-host a three-city Roundtable tour and three part webinar series. The event theme focuses on the analysis of social media trends and data and how a frontline Product Manager can exploit these insights to better improve their product development cycle as well as satisfy consumer expectations.
"Product Managers and Marketers today struggle with monitoring their brand or product offering within social media circles." said Craig Brennan, CEO of Overtone. "These comments, reviews, opinions of their consumers are rich in data that a product manager can use to improve their product, the development cycle or even gain intelligence on their competitors. We want to show these managers that there is a way to effectively extract these insights from online commentary."
The roundtable series will begin in September 2009 with sessions in Chicago, Boston and the Silicon Valley.. Attendees will include product managers, marketers, brand experts, technologists, and others needing brand intelligence from social media.
The webinar series scheduled for later this fall will take the findings and concerns from the roundtables and present them to the public using strategies, methods and tools such as steps to conduct a listening audit, identifying emerging trends, competitive analysis and improving the overall product development chain.
Overtone's Open Mic Integrated Listening solution is a tool that all Product and Marketing Managers can use to extract these insights. It will serve as the basis for the insights used in case studies and methodology presented during the roundtable and webinar series.
"The partnership between AIPMM and Overtone is an exciting opportunity to offer our members information and tools they can use to sift through the overwhelming amount of social media data," said Therese Padilla, AIPMM president. "We hope all of our members participate in this series specifically targeted to help them be successful," added Padilla.
