The AIPMM Sponsors 7th Silicon Valley Code Camp, Largest Free Developers Event In The World
The Association Of International Product Marketing And Management (AIPMM) Announces Support Of Silicon Valley Code Camp #7 And The 1st Product Management Track
Silicon Valley Code Camp is a free weekend conference October 6 and 7, 2012, for all software developers who want to share information, network, and learn new skills. More than 2,250 people attended last year, and over 200 sessions were conducted.
Peter Kellner says, "We are hugely excited to present the 7th Silicon Valley Code Camp in 7 years! As always, we are very proud of the speaker line up. With 25 sessions to choose from at each time slot (there are 5 time slots each day), we think we have something for every developer, including a few not so code centric."
Silicon Valley Code Camp has chosen a few subject areas that have been organized into tracks, and this is the first year that the product management track is included as an option. Product management is a business optimization function that oversees technology and product all the way from development through product launch, market, delivery and later sunsetting. Product Management is becoming more mainstream and is an attractive career path for developers who want to more strategically affect product outcomes and the business case. Software development teams benefit from understanding product management principles and the product management lifecycle beyond the development stage. Businesses where software development teams understand the product management function and product management teams are well defined, guarantee successful products are delivered that delight customers and increase revenue.
Therese Padilla, President of AIPMM, shared, "Often developers find themselves in charge of the product process beyond the development stage. The AIPMM provides education and certification for developers seeking the knowledge necessary to guide their products throughout the entire product lifecycle to achieve product/market fit."
